I don't know why I get some sick pleasure out of logging the expenses of my car on here, but I do. I dropped $177 this week to fix the freaking passenger side rear view mirror yesterday.
We got our first big snow here, and early, early on Tuesday morning I got up to drive to Harrisburg. I had to go.
I was wiping the snow off my car with a magazine. As I went around the car, I brushed the passenger side mirror, and it just fell.
Clunk.
I barely touched it. In fact, I didn't touch it... the tip of my magazine did. I think the plastic must have snapped because of the cold and the adhesive probably also failed for the same reason.
So I had to run inside and get duct tape and put it back up in a redneck-fabulous way. I drove around with my mirror duct-taped up for two days, but then I got it fixed.
For $177.
Crap. And apparently it wasn't covered by warranty, though I may try protesting this via mail.
Anyway: I hate the snow.
