Today is my birthday! I always thought no one significant shared a birthday with me. I felt even worse when my ex-girlfriend shared her birthday with Mark Twain, and who did I have? No one. I think mabye I had Sidney Poitier, but I could really care less about actors.
But then I looked at Google today, and holy crap! I share a birthday with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle! That's right up there with Mark Twain, I have to say. Wow! Since it took me 29 years to figure this out, I obviously lack the powers of Doyle's most famous character, but it's still an exciting birthday present.
This year is significant (I'm 29), because it's also the first year I've been open about having a birthday. I'm having a little get-together tonight, in fact. I think I'll have about a dozen people come out! That's pretty cool.
