Once upon a time, I felt like I had a political partner here in Philadelphia. I don't have that anymore. It's difficult for me. I've always functioned better in this work when I had a partner. In D.C., I had Sandhya. In Madison, I had Jen. In Philadelphia it's still just me.

I came across this piece in the Daily News, and I'd love to share it with someone who could actually communicate with me about it on more than an academic level. But I don't have anyone like that anymore. Not anyone who's really serious about getting involved in campaigns on more than a cursory, i-sort-of-like-this-guy kind of level.

So I'm posting it up in cyberspace and saying what I would say to a partner if I still had one: Jonathan Saidel doesn't do much for me as a candidate, but this is definitely the sort of candidate I'd like to learn from. I wish I knew how he figured out how to find all these many, many groups he goes and visits, so I could start doing it, too. I'm very impressed that this is where he's putting his energy and that he isn't stressing about a lack of air time.
