Electricians came in to fix a problem in my dryer's wiring. They showed me that the previous owners of the house set up the electric meter to steal some of my electricity. I had no clue.
I am not a thief!
So while they were going to charge me way too much to fix it, I brought in another electrician to put me right with the law. Now I am legal. It's good to be legal. I don't like to steal and feel very guilty that I ever was. I AM NOT A CROOK!
Kudos, also, to my stepfather, who knew the first electricians were trying to railroad me. He saved me $1000. It would have been $1200 if I'd listented to him, but I had the crooks do some work, anyway.
