I've been following the Philadelphia Mayor's race more closely than anyone I know. I would have sworn Tom Knox was a Republican if you asked me. But I met some staff of his tonight, and one of them told me she used to work for the DNC and I said, "But now you are working for a Republican."
She said he wasn't. I must have thought that, she said, because he's a businessman.
No, I thought it because...
I swear...
every newspaper article I've read about him has called him the Republican. That his direct mail that I've seen said he was a Republican. All of it.
But he's not?
How did I get it wrong?
So, weird.
In my defense, though, I will tell you this. Visit his website. Find the word "Democrat" on there. Go ahead. Try it. HERE.
I'm not saying he isn't, I just think it's weird.
